It was really nice. We went the weekend before Mem Day. The weather was perfect which makes all the difference. Our friends, the Hagbergs, camped with us.
Opps, actually, the title is misleading. This is our first camping trip this year. We went a few times last year. The kids love it! We tried out our little pop-up camper for the 1st time, it makes camping a bit more convenient - not so much packing which it what always gets to me.
Shawna, are you doing an actual carry-everything-on-your-back-trip with kids? Wow, you're brave.
I am glad to hear you liked your pop up. It does seem like that would be easier AND more comfortable.
We are doing the whole backpacking thing with some of rex's family. I am not sure it is bravery..maybe naieveity? :) It will be so nice to get away though, I am looking forward to it.
Why do I blog? To intentionally be reminded of God's daily goodness, to preserve memories, to share with loved ones, to create something that lasts longer than a clean toilet.

I wish the weather was nicer here. So far, it has not been nice enough to camp. I'm a little nervous about camping with a one year old also.
